Children from Somers Town have been out on the tiles this summer, making a giant mosaic to brighten up the area, writes Julie Tomlin.

Frogs, fish, birds and Star Trek figures now add a splash of colour to the wall outside the entrance to Somers Town Youth Centre in Chalton Street.
Environment-conscious children from the youth centre, South Camden Community School, Somers Town Junior Project and the Plot. End Playground used recycled materials to piece together the display. Mirror glass, tiles, old plates and mugs were used in the Camden Youth Service funded scheme for eight- to 17-year olds
